An Invitation . . .
Won’t
you
Join Us?
Whether
you paint like a master or a beginner, you are invited to join the
Hawaii Watercolor Society. A state-wide organization open to all
residents of Hawaii, our approximately 300 members meet to paint, to
share experiences, and to explore new ways to create our art, as
well as to gain knowledge from each other and acknowledged experts
in the field.
Advantages of
membership include a membership card entitling members to discounts
for art supplies in certain stores, discounts on show entry fees,
and a membership roster. A monthly newsletter features current local
art events, book reviews, exhibitions, and related opportunities and
topics of interest. You are invited to join others at many
paint-outs regularly held at various locations and times. We also
maintain an extensive library of books and videos by nationally
renowned artists which members may borrow free of charge.
The society
sponsors juried shows showcasing our members’ works several times a
year, and we sponsor an annual Open Show for the wider arts
community. Members are eligible for workshops held several times a
year with nationally ranked watercolor artists as well as classes
and workshops conducted by our own talented members.
Dues are $35 per year. For foreign members
the fee is $45 and $20 for students.
